A Kartini Day in a Village in Gunung Kidul.

Kartini Day is a celebration about woman emancipation. Kartini is a heroine of  Indonesia struggle for the gender equality and woman emancipation. Every 21 April Indonesian people celebrate the Kartini Day.

In the Kartini Day the student are encourage the traditional clothes. In the 21 April 2016, I was on the way from Parangtristis beach to Pulang Sawal beach. In many village that I passes a long the way  to Pulang Sawal, I saw many elementary student wore the traditional clothes. Not only the girls but also the boys. This is for maintaining the conversant of the young generation with the traditional clothes.

It was unfortunate the girls were to shy to taken their photographed. So, only the boys I could take the photographs in the elementary school .
