Victoria & Alfred Waterfront

You do have the best view over the whole area from parking area at the Lion’s head.

Why Alfred and not Albert? Albert was Queen Victoria’s husband but her son Alfred opened the first basin of the new harbour and therefore it was named after him and when the second basin was build it was named after Queen Victoria. Victoria&Alfred Waterfront combines an active harbour scenery with elements of a modern leisure area. Starting from an old harbour place they created the tourist attraction number #1 of Africa with shopping centres, pubs, restaurants, theatres and a movie. More than 1 million people visit this mall every month.
